Music Curriculum Introduction

The aim of the music department is to develop valuable knowledge, practical skills and a wider understanding of the music industry. This encompasses performing, composing, listening and appraising (theory) and production (technology). The intent is to develop an appreciation of all genres of music by exploring music products and styles, developing musical skills and ability, and working with others to improve ensemble awareness by responding to briefs. The music department intends to broaden musical experiences and interests by encouraging imagination and enabling creativity.
