ICT Curriculum Introduction
We aim to develop students I.T. skills that underpin modern ways of working such as:
- Analyzing data and representing it graphically
- Developing skills to empower students to created electronic media such as websites
- The importance of Cyber security
- legal and ethical issues of computer use.
We aim to develop students knowledge and skills such as:
- Using computers safely and effectively.
- Creating art work and imaging using computer software.
- Producing graphical representations of data in the form of a spreadsheet.
- Understanding and applying the principles of Computer code.
- We aim to develop these skills to enhance their chances of gaining further qualifications and employment in the field of digital information technology
- We aim to develop a culture for creativity, problem solving and independence through project based learning, which will embed these important work based skills into the students long term memory, preparing them well for careers in the I.T. industry.
